Actor Will Smith Banned from attending Oscars for 10 years

 Will Smith will not be allowed to attend the Academy Award for the next 10 years, as a result of his Slapping comedian Chris Rock on sage during this Year's Oscars ceremony, The Academy of Motion picture Arts & Sciences announced in a statement.  "The board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022 , Mr Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards, "Academy President David Rubin and CEO Dawn Hudson said in a statement on Friday.  The decision was made during a board of Governors meeting held earlier in the day in Los Angeles. The meeting, initially schedules for April 18, was expedited after Smith announced his resignation from the Academy last week.  Smith issued a quick, concise statement on his ban from the Oscars for the next decade.  "I accept and respect the Academy's decision," the Actor said in a statement. Netflix, Sony Suspends upcoming projects with will Smith Following Oscars Altercation

 Following the altercation between Will smith and comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, Netflix and Sony have decided to put their upcoming projects with him on hold.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, Smith was set to star in the next Netflix film "Fast and "Loose." However, sources close to the outlet say that the streaming giant has made it known that it is no longer working on the initiative.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Fast and Loose" had just lost its director, David Leitch, a week before the Oscars incident. Despite acting quickly "to put out an urgent" request for a filmmaker to direct "Fast and Loose", Netflix "quietly" scrapped the movie following Smith's behaviour at the Academy Awards.  The Hollywood reporter also mentioned that Sony had put a halt to the production of "Bad Boys 4" which will Smith was to star in.

 Idris Elba was taking requests at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding reception! The actor, who DJ the couple's 2018 event, spilled the beans about one of the songs the Duchess of Sussex asked to be played on her big day. Elba revealed Dr Dre's 1999 hit song, "still D.R.E," was Meghan's choice," and all of the guests "went off" when it was played.  When asked about the song that got the royals on the dance floor, Elba said Whitney Houston's "I wanna Dance with Somebody" was a crowd pleaser. The Nigeria's Cinema records over N346m Revenue in March

  The Cinema Exhibition Association of Nigeria on Monday said that it generated N346.6 million from tickets sold across the country in March.  The CEAN's National president, Patrick Lee, said that the figure represented 45 percent increase compared to 189 million realized in March 2021.  He also stated that there was a seven percent improvement in ticket sales in March, as N301.48 milion ws generated in February.  he listed the highest-grossing films in Nigeria in the month of March as "The Batman", "Uncharted", "The contractor", "A Simple Lie" and "Turning Red".  "For the month of March 2022, we have N346,607,688.00 ticket sales, this is quite encouraging compared to what we had in February, N301,480,148.00.   Forbes is an American business magazine owned by Integrated Whale Media Investments and the Forbes family.   The Nollywood screen diva, Rita Dominic is set to walk down the aisle with her heartthrob, Fidelis Anosike.  The couple got engaged some time ago and have privately been putting plans together for their upcoming wedding,   Dominic and Anosike will reportedly be getting married in Imo state on April 18th and 19th this year.
