Comedian AY has given reasons why he and fellow comedian Basketmouth don't talk. AY revealed this in a recent ask me anything session which he organised on his Instagram page. A follower had asked, "@aycomedian do you really have any issues with Basketmouth?" Responding, AY confirmed that while he wasn't friends with him, he had no "issues" with him. He wrote, "I don't have issues with him. But people having unnecessary issues with you are the price you sometimes pay for being progressive." AY also noted that "he has been battling with his uncontrollable superiority complex for the longest. So avoiding his incessant childishness only became necessary for my own sanity." Following his response, another fan commented, "@aycomedian in other words the both of you don't talk." And confirming the assumptions, he wrote, "We only talk to those who want to talk to us.
