The Batman Surpasses Box Office Marks at 750 million Dollars

 'The Batman' featuring Robert Pattison as the cape superhero is now streaming but will be released on May 24th on DVD.  Pattison takes over the role from predecessors like Christian Bale, Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton and George Clooney Batman. Pattison assumed this role alongside Zoe Kravitz wearing the shoes of other actresses before like Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer, to play the role of Catwoman. Since its release over the weekend, the two hours fifty-five minutes film has surpasses the box office mark at $750 million. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film centres on, a killer who targets Gotham City's elite which has Batman on an investigation into the underworld. During the investigation, he comes in contact with characters like the Penguin, Selina Kyle, Carmine Falcone and The Riddler played by Paul Dano as a criminal mastermind. With the unravelling evidence leading near home, batman then has to make new collaborations to bring justice to the people of Gotham city. &#

Sonic Sequel Zips to Top of North America Box Office

  Paramount’s action-adventure film “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” took in an estimated $71 million in North America this weekend, a welcome sign for Hollywood that families are returning to in-person viewing, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported Sunday. "This is an outstanding opening,” particularly for a sequel to a video-based movie, said David A. Gross of Franchise Entertainment Research. The original “Sonic” film, based on the popular Sega game involving a lightning-fast hedgehog, scored a $58 million opening in early 2020 at a time when Covid-19 was only beginning to register as a threat.  The latest hybrid production includes Jim Carrey in a live-action role, while Ben Schwartz (Sonic), Idris Elba (Knuckles) and Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Tails) voice animated characters.  Last weekend’s box office leader, Sony’s vampire flick “Morbius,” placed a very distant second this weekend, taking in $10.2 million, a steep drop from last weekend’s $39.1 million. Fantastic Beasts 3 makes $10M at China Box Office Despite Covid

Fantastic Beasts: The secrets of Dumbledore by Warner Bros made an entrance at its opening weekend in China with $10M despite the Covid outbreak. The Harry Potter sequel according to data from Artisan gateway earned just$9.7M with the recent Covid outbreaks, an estimated 54 percent of China's cinemas are currently closed. The First Fantastic Beasts Film Opened to $40.4 million in China in 2016, and the sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crime of Grindelwald, debuted to $36.6 million in 2018. The film did better on Imax, earning $1.5 million in the giant screen format. Dumbledore played on 360 Imax screens, roughly half of Imax's usual output. In recent months and years, Hollywood titles have been earning visibly less than they once did in China, but the current Covid closures make it difficult to know if the general trend of lack of interests for U.S movies was also a factor in Dumbledore's dull opening.
