  Nigerian Music star Mr Bankole Wellington Popularly known as Banky W is set to run for the house of representatives under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) umbrella.   The Singer made this known  via his social media pages on Friday, April 1, 2022, where he shared a video. Banky W will be running for a seat in the lower house this time, under the people's Democratic Party (PDP). The singer-turned politician and activist will be declaring his intentions on Saturday, April 2, at Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos state.  Banky W announced his decision to run for the house of representative back in November 2018, the news was largely received by both fans and industry colleagues. He however lost the elections to Ibrahim Obanikoro of the All Progressive Congress (APC)

 Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to lament the insecurity in the country following the Monday terrorist attack on a train along Abuja-Kaduna route.   The train was forced to halt after terrorists planted bombs on the tracks. Witnesses said the attackers later surrounded most of the coaches and opened fire before they forcefully gained access.   About nine person were reportedly killed and many others abducted by the terrorists who escaped into the bushes.   The sad incident has triggered a wave of reactions from Nigerians, including celebrities.   Nigerian actress and film producer, Mercy Aigbe, took to her instagram page to share pictures of horrible incident.
