Headies: Portable Apologises, Insists on getting the Awards

  The Nigerian rising artiste, Habeeb Okikola, popularly known as portable has apologised to Smooth Productions organisers of popular Nigerian Music Awards, the Headies, who condemned his outburst concerning the nominations. In a statement on Friday, the organisers condemned the controversial artiste for threatening the lives of fellow nominees. The fast-rising artiste is contending for the Best Street-Hop Artiste and Rookie of the Year awards according to the nomination list released on Tuesday. "Those are my awards, anybody else who wins i will ask for them to be killed. I will ask them to kill the person. If the organisers give my award to someone else, they will die," he said in Yoruba. "No go give my awards to another person, he go die o," Portable had threatened on Wednesday. Reacting to his statement, Smooth Productions made a report to the police as regards the concerning video. Headies 2022: We might disqualify Portable for threatening other nominees --- Organisers

  The organisers of Headies Award have threatened to disqualify fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, best known as Portable for threatening to kill his co-nominees of its 2022 edition. The organisers who ar ¥e not happy with Portable made this known in a statement on Instagram page on Friday. Portable was nominated to contest in the 'Rookie of the Year' and 'Best Street-Hop Artiste' categories when the Headies unveiled the nominees for its 2022 edition on Tuesday. Other nominees in the 'Rookie of the Year' category include Av, Fave, Magixx and Ugocci. For the second category, he is pitted against Bella Shmurda, Mohbad, Naira Marley and Goya Menor among others. The rapper dropped "True Love" ---- featuring late rapper XXXTentacion ---- on Friday and Ye didn't waste any time making his feelings known about how he feels when it comes to visiting his four kids ---- North 8, Saint 6, Chicago 4 and Psalm 3.  The wedding bells are ringing for Nollywood's leading lady Ini Dima-okojie who recently starred in the Netflix Original series 'Blood Sisters.' Abasi is the founder and CEO of 54gene, an African genomics company building the world's first pan-African biobank. Ini and Abasi announced their engagement on social media in June 2021, making the beginning of their forever journey. Abasi proposed after two years of courtship. The couple legally got married on Thursday May 19th, 2022 and traditionally on Saturday may 21st, 2022. The traditional wedding ceremony took place at the luxurious event Center, Harbour Point in Victoria Island, Lagos. Ini and Abasi were graced by their two families and a great group of 1000 supportive friends, star-studded guests and well-wishers in attendance. The special day was an exotic mix of two Nigerian cultures - Edo and Calabar.
