The new entries in Mattel's Barbie Fashionistas line are a diverse group of dolls, including a Barbie with behind-the-ear hearing aids, one with a prosthetic leg and a ken doll with vitiligo, the skin condition that causes loss of pigment cells. Hearing-loss advocate Dr. Jen Richardson worked with the toy company to guarantee that the hearing aids would be portrayed in the most accurate light.
