Tiwa Savage. Olori Boye, and Others Bag Women4Africa Awards 2022

 


Women4Africa held the 8th edition of its annual awards at Prestigious Leonardo Hotel, St Pauls, London last weekend.

For years, Women4Africa award have provided a reputable platform for African women to connect, empower and inspire each other.

In regular fashion, the apex award event honoured several female African professionals from different walks of life doing extraordinary things both in the UK and in Africa.


The categories at this year's award included Women in Technology, Women in Law, Mother of the year, Career Woman, Woman in Healthcare, Humanitarian of the year, Business Woman of the year, Recognitions and more.

Afrobeats Queen, Tiwa Savage, bagged the International Recognition award, Olori Boye Ajayi took home the International African Woman of the year, While Feyisola Adeyemi was recognised as the Fashion Designer of the year.

Other recipients of the W4A 2022 awards include Juliana Olayinka, Mary Akangbe, Nicole Hines, Prof Caroline Makaka, Adeola Onasanya, Lara Oyesanya, Dr Gillian Lakareber, Mwai Yeboah, Gehad Hamdy and Maureen Mandipaza. Joyce Obaseki, Eryca Freemantle, Prof Uduak Archibong, Caroline Marsh , Michelle Chivunga and Rachael Palmer were among the UK recognitions.

Mayowa Oluyede, Shola Ajilore, Ricardo Simms, Yvonne Jegede and Dr. Shola Mos Shogbamimu, were among some of the personalities at the W4A 2022 Awards.

Speaking with the media, Founder of Women4Africa, Sam Onigbanjo, pledged to continue recognising and rewarding African women for their resilience, Hardwork and excellence.

"Across the world, African women are doing great things and breaking grounds in every field of endeavour. Our job is simple, to continue to celebrate our own and tell our stories," he said.
