 The 2022 Grammy Awards has wrapped after airing from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in LAs Vegas on April 3. The Nigeria rapper Jude MI Abaga is set to walk down the aisle with his heartthrob Eniola Mafe. The rap icon made this known via his instagram page on Sunday, April 3, 2022, where he shared a video of his soon to be bride and their journey so far as lovebirds.  "I'm a private person. but it's time to share a little part of my joy with you. @eniolamafe and I met in Dec 2020 and straight away i knew I had found the one", he captioned the video.  "I am excited to announce that we are getting married this year... and we ask for your support and blessings as we embark on this journey together. 💖💖💖." The rapper recounted how he was introduced to Eniola by Audu Maikori of Chocolate city back in 2020. Abaga revealed that they will be getting married this year, however no specific date was mentioned. Eniola is the founder of New Nigeria, an organisation that was formed in the wake of the #Endsars protests across the country.

 Popular Nollywood Actress, Jumoke Odetola, has been recognised as one of the 100 most influential young leaders in Nigeria.  The Award, which seeks to motivate the awardees to keep on the good works in their various fields, took place on the 27th March, 2022, in Lagos.  Speaking on this development, odetola described the award as a humble experience having been singled out of millions in the country.   The actress also described the award as a reminder of continuing good works even as she is an advocate of positivity.  Odetola explained that the positive impact and inspirational stories behind her movies might have necessitated the award.   "It is a humbling experience being singled out of millions, I am a filmmaker and the kind of movies I make are ones that impact society positively.  "The award is a reminder to continue the good works.   Nigerian Music star Mr Bankole Wellington Popularly known as Banky W is set to run for the house of representatives under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) umbrella.   The Singer made this known  via his social media pages on Friday, April 1, 2022, where he shared a video. Banky W will be running for a seat in the lower house this time, under the people's Democratic Party (PDP). The singer-turned politician and activist will be declaring his intentions on Saturday, April 2, at Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos state.  Banky W announced his decision to run for the house of representative back in November 2018, the news was largely received by both fans and industry colleagues. He however lost the elections to Ibrahim Obanikoro of the All Progressive Congress (APC)

  Will Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences after slapping presenter Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony.
