AMVCA 2022 The Nominations and Full list


 The prestigious event was host by Actress Adesua Etomi -Wellington and Daniel Etim-Effiong. The Organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards ( AMVCA), Saturday night announced the nominees for the 8th edition of the award ceremony billed to hold on May 14, in Lagos.

   The unveiling of the Nominees, Hosted By Adesua Etomi and Daniel Etim-Effiong,


the event was broadcasted live on Saturday March 19, saw a variety of Nominees across 33 categories.

   The Nominees are:

    "Amina" The historic Movie, Produced by Okechukwu Ogunjiofor, joined the list of the most nominated films with 13 nominations, including the best overall movie and best director to "Beat". Overall Movie Funke Akindele, JJC Skillz "Omo Ghetto: The saga made the noteworthy list with Nine nominations by Ramsey Nouah's "Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story Bagged 10 nominations.

   Nneka The pretty Serpent and Izu Ojukwu's Directed "Amina" got eight nominations respectively.

While Omo Ghetto's nine nominations include: Best Costume, Designer, Best Actor in comedy, Best Actress in Comedy, Best movie W/Africa, Best picture Editor, Best sound Editor and Best Overall Movie, Nneka the "Pretty Serpent" Equally got Nine nominations: Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor, Best Makeup, Best Actor in Drama, Best Movie W/Africa, Best Art Editor and Best Soundtrack.

  Nneka The Pretty Serpent's Nominations include: Best Cinematography, Best Lighting Design, Best Makeup, Best Costume Designer, Best Movie W/Africa, Best Sound Editor and Over all Movie.

 The Mystic River Also got Five Nominations.

  This Year's nominees were firmly planted in 33 categories, including the newly introduced Best online Social Content creator.

Viewers Voted on 12 categories, while the awards jury, which was chaired by Veteran director Victor Okhai, chose 21. The Winner of this year's best Soundtrack award will get N1 million.

 According to the award organisers, MultiChoice, An Seven days Schedule of activities will precede the anticipated awards night, which has been scheduled for May 14.

  Singer and activist, Charly Boy aka Area Fada has stated what he'll do if the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar or All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu wins the 2023 presidential poll. The Maverick entertainer made this known after Tinubu was declared winner of the APC presidential primary. The National Leader of the ruling party on Wednesday clinched the presidential ticket of the ruling party for the 2023 general elections. He defeated 13 other aspirants with1,271 votes as against his closet rival, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi who had 316 votes. On May 28, the former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, emerged PDP presidential candidate for the 2023 election. Atiku polled 371 out of the 767 accredited votes to defeat his closest rival, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who polled 237 votes.
